A Day in the Life on the Farm

What It Takes to Fill Your CSA Box

CSA pickup day actually starts long before pickup.

In summer, we’re harvesting before the heat rises — cutting greens, picking tomatoes, gathering melons at peak ripeness. In winter, we’re moving through rows of citrus and cool-season crops in crisp morning air.

There’s no warehouse.

No storage facility full of imports.

Just fields.

By mid-morning, the harvest is sorted and packed. Boxes are filled based on what’s thriving that week. No two weeks are identical because no two weeks on a farm are identical.

Some days feel abundant and overflowing.

Some days feel steady and simple.

But every day ends the same way: knowing that what’s going home with our CSA members was grown just minutes away.

That’s not common anymore.

And we think it’s worth protecting.
