Natural Dyeing Workshop

  • Sand n' Straw Community Farm 629 Mar Vista Drive Vista United States (map)

Come and join us at Sand N Straw for an incredible natural dyeing workshop. This workshop is an opportunity for you to discover the magic of creating natural dyes using materials from the earth. You'll get to learn how to make and use a natural mordant and have a blast bundle dying silk and cotton scarves.

In this workshop, we use materials found on our farm to create a range of earthy tones. For instance, we'll show you how to use avocado pits to make a lovely pale pink, and eucalyptus leaves to achieve sunny yellows. There are many other materials that you can use to create beautiful colors, all of which we'll explore together during the workshop.

Our natural dyeing workshop is suitable for all ages, so whether you're an experienced crafter or just starting, come along and join in the fun. Get ready to immerse yourself in the process of natural dyeing and leave with a beautiful scarf that you'll be proud to wear or give as a gift.

See you on The Farm!
